[ MYTHOS ]

Mythos is the collection of multiple myths and stories, an effort being made to recall every one.

A story that focuses on Alkonost and Sirin. Both originated as angelic beings called "Interlopers," dubbed from their ability to change shape and take the appearance of whatever form they desire. This has led to them intermingling with several species across the Universes, whether it be for the benefit or demise of the other.

These two, specifically, are something of a wayfarer and have travelled far and wide before settling on a world comparative to Earth. They have been here since the beginning, the middle, and even the future. Changing roles and forms similarly to one would in a theatrical play. One has stayed closer to the "Origin" much longer than her counterpart, which has lead to them to be called an "Angel" and a "Fallen Angel" respectively. The Fallen Angel, Sirin, is corrupted and cannot shift as flawlessly as their counterpart, Alkonost, can. Their body is partially mechanical, and this remains so regardless of what form they take. While Alkonost can imitate the forms of others, she chooses to appear somewhat differently. It is not apparent if this is out of respect or even slight imitation to her other half. "A copy of a copy," so to speak.

Sirin has a love for food despite not being able to consume it, and channels such passion into the dishes served at their restaurant. Alkonost's passion is more towards literature, and owns a bookstore. One she conveniently opened up near her counterpart's establishment. Many unceremonious visits later, food and cooking has become a love language between them.

Sirin has a sword called "Ceyx," and Alkonost has a shape-shifting sword called "Alcyone." They are named after the two lovers cursed to be kingfishers by Zeus. Much like how the pair are named after the two harpies in mythology, which pay homage to this myth (and sirens as well).

After many years of pining, and Sirin being very stubborn and slow to admit their feelings, the two of them become a bonded pair. Alkonost is now separate from the Origin, and they live as domestically as they possibly can.

Alkonost - A high ranking angel (interloper) who has slowly distanced from "The Origin" in The Celestial Heavens, yet not to the point to be classified as a fallen angel. Has gone through many ages and worlds with Sirin, falling in love with them, despite being her opposite. Is considered a guardian, and is fiercely protective over life, willing to do what she can to protect it. Alkonost has always been partial to learning and expanding her library of information, going as far as to immerse herself in whatever she is studying.

Owns a bookshop that is near Sirin's restaurant, which she invites herself to quite often. Writes poetry and quotes it very often. In instances where she has fought, has a white to light gold "aura weapon" named Alcyone that can change shapes (varying in the energy it may drain from her essence).

Sirin - A fallen angel (or Interloper), who was cursed to have a slight inorganic form due to their leave from "The Origin". Was considered too unpredictable and dangerous, despite once being a Seraphim (much like Alkonost). Was, and still is, mostly solitary apart from meetings with Alkonost. Has primarily focused on survival, until her love interest forced herself into her world. Throughout every kind of time period has encountered his other half, eventually settling to focus on the passion of cooking.

Despite not getting along with people, owns a restaurant, and gets along well enough with their staff. Growing plants for ingredients, and to furnish the place, sometimes ends up talking to (and naming) them. In instance of fighting, has a white / grey glowing sword named "Ceyx" that dissipates into dark feathers.
