[ GENESIS ]

“Genesis: Noun. The origin or formation of something.”

Genesis focuses on the events prior to all other stories in this Universe. It begins at the start of the Universe, and goes through such events as: The Betrayal, The Betrayal resulted in a pseudo-war between the Old Gods and Vexx’s army composed of Interlopers and some Star Eaters. They inevitably won (and most had stepped down afterward), and had banished Vexx into the core of a planet dubbed “The Planet-like Egg.” Despite the living conditions being rough on said world, some species had actually occupied the planet. Even if there is the risk of the former Centipede-like God from breaking out of it. The related Star Eaters were flayed, and discarded, leaving all but one useless and ambling about the Universes. The Interlopers were pushed and Aeries began to reform mostly in the Middle to Lower Plains, taking the spread of pestilence with it.

Around the same time, the Last Prince (later known as Blanc) was tricked by a Star by the name of Cers (later Arthur and Yatzy), and left his throne unattended. They promised a break in the mediocrity and a better and less drab lifestyle, and the foolish dragonfly had taken it. They galavanted across many planets and plains, only to have the trickster slip in and try to take over the role. This went unnoticed for a time, being pre-occupied with other onslaughts, but once the Old Gods were made aware they dealt punishment out accordingly. Cers was split in two, forced to take mortal form, while Blanc was stripped of his title and also forced into a corporeal body. Sentenced to the furthest plain, and was never to be seen in the Higher Plain ever again.

Eventually the Old Gods were replaced by New Gods, and the former royalty was all forced to resign and allow others to fill in the roles of Queen, King, Princess, and Prince. Star Eaters were also discontinued and were deemed rather ruthless and cruel, as well as learning the possibility that they may even eat more than just dying stars and planets. The war with Interlopers continues to this day, and no one is quite sure how to get rid of them completely.

[ MAIN CHARACTERS]

Cers - Cers is a Celestial who had willingly left their position in the stars, disrupting the constellation that they were a part of. Despite not being a Dual Star, it appears there are two different entities that exist and function in any of Cers' manifested forms. These two sides are represented in their eyes, one being blue and the other being red. One side appears to be kinder and more considerate, showing the ability to delegate even with Gods. While the other side is stronger and more assertive, and prone to getting them into trouble. On one of their escapades they came face to face with The Prince. and had thought themselves clever enough to distract and even steal his throne. Having convinced The Prince to join they lead them on a journey throughout many planets. On one of them, Blanc had even found love, and whose attention was diverted enough for Cers to withdraw and attempt to steal the throne.

However, due to the rise of The Infection, Blanc's absence hadn't gone unnoticed. The Gods were eventually able to track the two of them down and deal with them properly. As Cers' key element was hosting two souls (for lack of a better term), they were ripped in half. In doing this, the two halves were forced to take (somewhat) mortal bodies. They are left stranded on a random planet until a ship ended up picking them up.

Note: Cers is just a shorthand name, as stars typically have very long and convulted naming systems!

Blanc - Blanc is a Sophist who was filling a high role in the Echelon, his role specifically being The Prince. He was relied on to help maintain and organize the ongoings of the different Plains and universes. However, due to his disdain of the position, he was easily swayed to leave it upon Cers' arrival. While the Celestial's intent was to trick him, he was already willing to forfeit his position. So he took to travelling through the stars, mingling with the peoples of several different worlds and many walks of life. It was on one that he met a male Bibliothecaria a fell in love. Blanc began to even ignore Cers' demands to move on in favor of staying with this individual.

Just like with Cers, however, the Gods managed to track him down and find him. Seperating him from his lover and stripping him of his rank and title. He even lost his own form, having been turned human and therefor mortal (or at least more mortal than he had been before). Holds a large amount of contempt for Cers and upon learning of their arrival on the planet, wishes to enact the worst fate upon them.
